Orbomm, a provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and TMW Systems, Inc. (TMW), a provider of enterprise transportation software, announced the successful integration of Orbcomm’s fleet tracking and monitoring system with TMWSuite software.
Orbcomm’s platform integrates with TMWSuite to provide trucking companies across North America the ability to capture near real-time trailer data for both refrigerated and dry transport assets. Leveraging Orbcomm’s GT 1100 dry van trailer tracking and its RT 6000+ cold chain monitoring system, the company says will give customers access to trailer data including temperature, mileage, fuel levels, operational condition and GPS position.
Orbcomm said the interface will also enable TMW customers to gain significant savings, optimize temperature compliance and prevent unauthorized usage.
“We are excited to have Orbcomm integrated into the TMWSuite product lineup, which enables us to easily monitor the location and status of our refrigerated assets and set alerts via Orbcomm to monitor the temperature of our reefers, based on the requirements of each unique customer order,” said Phillip Seston, operations manager for H & N Logistics. “Through this integration, our dispatchers can work more efficiently, increase asset utilization and improve our overall day-to-day operations.”
As previously announced in the fall of 2014, Orbomm completed an integration with TruckMate TMS software from TMW.
