Paccar names Preston Feight as new CEO

Paccar, parent company of Peterbilt and Kenworth, has named Preston Feight as its new Chief Executive Officer. Effective July 1, Feight will replace Ron Armstrong, who’s retiring June 30 and who has served as Paccar CEO since April 2014.

Feight was also elected as a member of the Board of Directors.

He’s currently the executive vice president of Paccar. Mark Pigott will as executive chairman and will continue to provide strategic counsel to the company.

Feight, 51, has been with Paccar for 21 years, including tenures as president of DAF Trucks and vice president and general manager of Kenworth. He also held other roles at Kenworth, including chief engineer and assistant general manager of sales and marketing. He holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in engineering management  from the University of Colorado.
