udrove

uDrove, an affiliate company of the Internet Truckstop, made its debut in 2009 as a compliance management system for budget-conscious drivers and carriers. Since its beginning uDrove has focused on smart phone and tablet-based software to simplify and reduce paperwork.

The company expanded into the ELD market in 2012 by offering a fully compliant, “plug and play” device that connects to the vehicle’s diagnostics port. The device communicates wirelessly with the uDrove mobile app to electronically track drivers’ hours of service as well as fuel and mileage to simplify IFTA reporting. Fleets and drivers can access information through an online portal.

The largest fleet that reviewed uDrove operates 16 trucks. All carriers gave the system high marks for cost and overall return on investment. The review categories with the lowest average scores, though relatively high by comparison, are implementation and data integration.

“I have implemented several very large systems, including accounting, tax and warehouse management systems. Each of these required many hours of staff involvement. UDrove was absolutely seamless, worked from day one exactly as advertised. Our first DOT records check was a great success with the Trooper commenting on how easy the records were to review and how concise the information was. Another real savings, other than ease of integration, was that IFTA reporting went from a 10 hour assignment to a click of the button. I highly recommend this product.”
