Dalton, Ga.-based Shaw Transport Inc., which maintains one of the country’s largest private trucking fleets for Shaw Industries Inc. – the largest manufacturer of carpet in the world – has selected TMWSuite from TMW Systems as the enterprise management platform for its 300-tractor linehaul division.
Shaw Transport chose TMWSuite based on the platform’s functionality, usability and integration capabilities with PeopleNet and Shaw’s other supply chain systems. TMWSuite will replace Shaw Transport’s outdated legacy system.
“We wanted to leverage our investment in PeopleNet and have the capability to alter dispatch assignments while drivers are still en route,” explained Randy Black, e-business manager for Shaw Transport.
Shaw Transport also is implementing ResultsNow by TMW, a Web-based, performance-monitoring application that will provide real-time reporting capabilities – ensuring that the fleet has the most up-to-date data on its key performance indicators.
