Stay Metrics, a provider of evidence-based driver feedback, engagement, training, and retention solutions for the transportation industry, announces its donation of the Indiana Motor Truck Association’s Master Truck Driver (MTD) Certification Program Driver Recognition Kit.

The IMTA MTD Certification Program recognizes top drivers in the trucking industry for professional excellence in service and safety. With support from IMTA Allied Member Stay Metrics, more than 200 drivers will receive the IMTA MTD recognition kits in 2018 and in 2019 at no cost to IMTA-member carriers.

“Driver recognition is central to the founding purpose and mission of Stay Metrics,” said Tim Hindes, chief executive officer and co-founder of Stay Metrics. “We are thrilled to be part of the IMTA MTD program and look forward to continuing our partnership with IMTA to support the valuable work they do in our home state of Indiana.”

Hindes founded Stay Metrics in 2012 with Kurt LaDow, the company’s chief operating officer, with a mission to improve the work experiences of drivers with their carriers. Hindes and LaDow have more than 54 years of combined experience in the trucking industry as drivers, dispatchers, fleet managers and entrepreneurs.

The IMTA MTD recognition kits donated by Stay Metrics include framed certificates, window decals, and other items with IMTA MTD logos. The decals, in particular, help to create awareness among public motorists that they share the road with professional drivers with outstanding safety records.

“The IMTA is very appreciative of Stay Metrics for their generosity and continued support of our organization and its carrier members,” said Gary Langston, president of IMTA. “With their support we will be enhancing the IMTA MTD program and recognizing more drivers for their professionalism, hard work and commitment to safety.”
