FFE Transportation Services Inc. announced that the Texas Motor Transportation Association awarded the company the 2011 Grand Trophy at the Fleet Safety Awards luncheon during the TMTA annual conference. This award is given annually to a member company who is judged to have the most complete and effective safety program in the Texas trucking industry.

“FFE has proven time and time again that their commitment to safety is unsurpassed,” says John Esparza, TMTA president and chief executive officer. “I am proud to acknowledge the hard work and steadfast dedication of FFE earning them this outstanding achievement. As a leader in the trucking industry, I know that safety is at the forefront of their daily operations. FFE sets the bar high, and we will unquestionably continue to see great things from their safety department.”

During the awards luncheon, FFE also placed first in the intercity division with more than 20 million miles traveled. Recognition is given to Texas companies having the lowest accident frequency ratio within a particular mileage division.

“We are proud of our team and the accomplishment the safety department has achieved,” says Russell Stubbs, president and CEO. “Nothing is more important than safety at TMTA and FFE Transportation Services.”
