TMW Systems announced a number of new products and enhancements during the 2017 PeopleNet and TMW in.sight User Conference + Expo, Aug. 13-16. Three of its new add-on modules designed for billing and logistics are summarized below:
- A new IES Dedicated add-on module for users of TMW’s Innovative IES transportation management solution (TMS) and the IES Access and Access Plus TMS platforms.
TMW says the new module simplifies the billing process for fleets offering dedicated transportation services.
“The new IES Dedicated module offers users an efficient and cost-effective solution designed to meet all their contract-based transportation billing and payment needs,” said Ray West, senior vice president and general manager of TMS solutions for TMW.
- New billing functionality that addresses the increasingly complex contracts developed and fulfilled by third-party logistics providers (3PL).
[related-post id=”154398″/]The TMW.Suite transportation management solution (TMS) now offers several enhancements designed to serve the needs of non-asset-based and multimodal transportation service providers. The new functionality supports the system’s load planning/optimization engine – developed by 3GTMS – for billing third-party carriers.
“This new functionality will help improve our users’ business performance by facilitating sophisticated transportation plan invoicing that meets their needs and the needs of their customers,” West said.
In addition to the new advanced billing capabilities, the TMW.Suite 3PL-focused system includes LTL rating, mode optimization and other features that help reduce freight expense and manage complex carrier and customer contracts.
- New functionality for the company’s Engage Series bid management platform to easily track and analyze shipper commitments.
[related-post id=”154395″/]The Engage Series helps for-hire carriers, brokers and third-party logistics providers maintain visibility into awarded versus actual freight volume by shipper and lane. The insights help transportation providers to more accurately evaluate shipper relationships, pricing strategies and uncover opportunities to improve network performance, the company says.
“Carriers, brokers and 3PLs invest a great deal of time and energy in researching and competing for new business yet too often lose sight of the actual outcome of many of those contracts,” said David Wangler, president of TMW Systems. “Engage helps make them more efficient and competitive on the front end of this process while this new integration functionality helps ensure they realize the negotiated volume and revenue from each contract.”
Engage now helps ensure shippers are meeting or exceeding their agreements by enabling orders processed through the user’s TMS or other solution to be matched with the corresponding bid award, the company said.
