VHD Equipment Network, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vipar Heavy Duty, announced Wednesday, March 4, that it has added four new distributors to its roster of members. New distributors include Bart Truck Equipment Co. Inc. in West Springfield, Mass.; Beall Corp. in Portland, Ore.; General Truck Equipment and Trailer Sales Inc. in Jacksonville, Fla.; and Messer Truck Equipment in Westbrook, Maine.
“We are pleased to add these quality distributors to our roster of members,” says Chris Baer, who has executive management responsibility for VHD Equipment Network. “Each of these companies is well respected within its marketplace and a good addition to our growing network.”
Baer — a vice president at Crystal Lake, Ill.-based Vipar Heavy Duty — says that in just one year, VHD Equipment Network has enjoyed solid growth with more than 10 distributor members joining the organization that operate from more than 30 locations; in addition, the number of supplier programs available to distributors has increased to more than 50.
VHD Equipment Network says that at its launch in 2008, it became the first group to offer membership to commercial vehicle truck equipment distributors in a national marketing and buying group. VHD Equipment Network says it leverages the experience and expertise of Vipar Heavy Duty in the heavy-duty aftermarket to focus on the North American commercial vehicle truck-mounted equipment market. The organization says it offers members with vendor program management, business services, advanced technology solutions, timely communications and effective marketing tools.
