Cadec Global (www.cadec.com), which provides enterprise-class fleet management systems, announced that Associated Grocers of New England (www.agne.com), the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery Distribution Center in New England, has upgraded to Cadec’s PowerVue Enterprise system.

Formerly a user of Cadec’s Mobius product, Associated Grocers chose to upgrade to PowerVue primarily because of its ability to provide fleet managers with driver and fleet activity information, to ensure company-wide standards of excellence.

Cadec’s PowerVue is a flexible SaaS-based fleet management system with in-cab hardware designed specifically for the enterprise-class customer.

Associated Grocers has implemented sophisticated processes for measuring driver performance and creating incentive programs to ensure drivers meet or exceed certain standards. The company has earned a reputation for operational excellence in part due to those incentives. Its system depends upon detailed information supplied by fleet management software and on-board computers. Associated Grocers says it evaluated other fleet management vendors, but found that only Cadec could provide the data it required.

“We were very impressed when Cadec showed us all of the capabilities of PowerVue, especially its integration of real-time data,” said Kevin Murray, director of transportation at Associated Grocers of New England. “PowerVue gives us the visibility we need into driver activity, vehicle performance, and routing and delivery schedules to make dynamic decisions so we can ensure safety and make the most efficient use of our vehicles and drivers.”
