The American Transportation Research Institute is still seeking feedback from carriers and drivers on the potential impact of the soon-to-be-implemented changes to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s hours-of-service rules. The 34-hour restart, in particular, is what ATRI is looking to study.
The hours rules are scheduled to go into effect this summer, and ATRI says its study “is part of a larger ATRI study quantifying real-world operation impacts on the trucking industry that may result from these revisions.”
ATRI is a research arm of the American Trucking Associations, and the survey is available at atri-online.org.
