The U.S. Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve agency recently honored Bill Wanamaker, American Trucking Associations’ director of government traffic and security operations, with the Seven Seals Award, which recognizes individuals who provide significant achievement, initiative or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.

“We at ATA couldn’t be prouder of Bill, who has tirelessly worked with the Defense Department on a number of issues, including finding ways for our industry to support our men and women serving in the National Guard and Reserves,” said Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer.

Wanamaker has managed ATA’s government traffic efforts since 2000. Prior to that, he was senior lobbyist for the Helicopter Association International and worked on Capitol Hill.
