Werner Enterprises, a transportation and logistics provider, announced the opening of a new terminal in Brownstown Charter Township near Detroit. The company said the 10-acre site includes a full-service maintenance shop and driver amenities and serves as a strong strategic addition to its network.

The terminal is located south of the Detroit-Windsor, Ontario region, a primary border-crossing point to facilitate freight for Werner’s continually expanding customer base in eastern Canada, the company said.

“We are very excited to add this site to our network, which will further enhance our service offerings for our customers,” said Derek Leathers, president and chief operating officer of Omaha, Neb.-based Werner. “This most recent investment allows us to support additional growth and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing cross-border solutions for our customers.”
