Fleetmatics adds instant payment to field service app

Fleetmatics Group, which provides cloud-based mobile workforce software for service-based businesses, released a new feature for Fleetmatics Work, its mobile field service management application. The feature helps to accelerate time to cash by embedding a payment link directly into the emailed invoice that is generated.

The new online payment is powered by Stripe. Jobs can be invoiced from the field instantly via email and transactions can be processed securely in real time, it said in a press release.

Fleetmatics Work has integrations with QuickBooks Online in the U.S. When jobs are completed the invoices flow from Fleetmatics Work to the user’s accounting system and updated client information is sent between the systems to keep all data in sync.

Business owners have additional tools to manage fieldworkers with tags in Fleetmatics Work that give dispatchers clear visibility to sort schedules and make assignments based on best fit, the company says.
