Comdata Inc. said Monday it has acquired eFueling Technologies, a subsidiary of Woodfin Oil Company.

Comdata says the acquisition will allow an expansion of its product offerings in the unattended fueling market by combining eFueling’s and Comdata’s product knowledge and industry experience.

“Comdata has been offering payment processing solutions to fuel merchants for more than 20 years, and we continue to provide tools and data to help our customers drive successful business operations,” says Randy Morgan, executive vice president of the fleet division at Comdata. “The acquisition of eFueling Technologies supports our continuing commitment to growth in the fleet fueling market.”

Comdata and eFueling partnered to develop SmartSight, a web-based site controller system. Launched in 2013, this system provides fuel merchants with real-time insight into transaction data and activity at unattended fueling sites.

Jack Woodfin, President of Woodfin Oil Company, says the acquisition will take “the new standard in automated fuel management systems developed by eFueling Technologies over the past three years to a global audience.”
