Comdata Corporation, a provider of electronic payment systems, announced the expansion into Canada. Through its fleet card and corporate cards, Comdata now offers Canadian-based companies access to programs with universal acceptance and real-time controls, similar to those widely used throughout the United States today.

The Comdata MasterCard provides a consolidated system for managing fleet expenses, travel and entertainment spending, and purchasing. With the one-card program, companies can eliminate the need for employees or drivers to carry multiple cards and remove the complexities and exposure of managing multiple programs, the company says.

The new program features billing and settlement in Canadian dollars, as well as management of data for Canadian tax reporting. Additionally, Comdata offers bi-lingual customer support in English and French.

“Comdata has been serving companies in Canada for more than 15 years, and we are excited to now offer this expansion of our product offering that addresses specific needs,” said Steve Stevenson, president of Comdata.
