Federal-Mogul Corp. has released a new Abex brakes catalog that includes thousands of new friction and premium hard parts, hydraulics and hardware components for medium-duty commercial vehicle applications. Federal-Mogul says its Abex brand now serves the complete brake component needs of medium-duty vehicle distributors, service providers, fleets and owner-operators.
The new Abex catalog (No. AB802) covers commercial vehicle applications ranging from emergency vehicles, taxis and limousines to medium-duty trucks. The expanded Abex product line for these applications includes replacement brake pads and shoes, rotors and drums, brake hardware, remanufactured calipers, new and reman hydraulics, brake cables, new and reman ABS components, and wheel attachment hardware.
“Abex is now the convenient, high-quality source of virtually all of the brake products needed for the growing medium-duty and severe-service categories,” says Brian Rassin, director of commercial vehicle friction for Southfield, Mich.-based Federal-Mogul. “Our extensive investment in this market has provided our distributor partners with comprehensive braking solutions for more than 30 vehicle nameplates and over 500 models, with application coverage all the way back to 1970.”
Federal-Mogul says its Abex catalog team developed an easy-to-use, consolidated look-up format that presents the brand’s complete offering by application, enabling distributors and service providers to quickly identify and order all components for a specific repair. The new catalog also includes a detailed brake system illustration guide covering import and domestic vehicles, as well as helpful shim kit service instructions and an illustrated light-duty caliper abutment guide.
