For the fifth year in a row, Hino engines topped J.D. Power’s customer satisfaction survey in the medium-duty engine category. The truck maker scored an 801 out of a possible 1,000, earning high marks in categories of maintenance and service, dependability and fuel economy. Cummins and Paccar followed Hino as second and third places, respectively.

CCJ reported Thursday on J.D.’s findings that more advanced engine technology in the medium-duty market meant fewer issues, but longer downtime due to more complicated repairs. See that report here.
