Mack donates Granite mixer to Concrete Industry Management Auction

Mack Trucks donated a 2014 Granite Axle Forward model to the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction taking place today during the 2014 World of Concrete at the Las Vegas Convention Center. CIM awards students with a four-year bachelor’s degree in Concrete Industry Management.

Mounted with a McNeilus Co. 11 cubic-yard concrete transit mixer, the Mack Granite model will be bid on during the ninth annual live auction benefitting CIM programs at Arizona State University, California State University – Chico, Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Texas State University.

“Donating a Mack Granite to the CIM Auction allows us to support students interested in a career in the concrete industry, which is a significant market for Mack Trucks,” said Stu Russoli, Mack construction product marketing manager. “This is a powerful opportunity for Mack to help encourage the growth of the concrete industry while also doing our part to enhance the career development of those who wish to work in the business.”

“The truck chassis donated by Mack Trucks and the concrete mixer donated by McNeilus Company, is the strong foundation we need to help ensure a successful CIM Auction at the 2014 World of Concrete,” said Michael Philipps, CIM Auction Committee chairman. “The fact that these two industry leading manufacturers have donated the ready mix truck and mixer speaks volumes of their commitment to the concrete industry and the importance they place on the CIM program.”

Mack has donated a truck for the CIM Auction for several years, most recently in 2013.
