Phillips Industries

Phillips Industries introduced the T/T Pair, a smart seven-way socket with built-in transceiver that replaces an existing Phillips QCS2 socket. The system provides instant tracking and verification of tractor-trailer pairing and prevents unnecessary trailer pulls that consume driver hours, fuel, and mileage. T/T Pair also alerts unauthorized trailer use to increase security.

With no additional wiring required, the one-minute install process uses the existing (blue) power wire in the J560 plug for the T/T Pair to establish a communication link. The new socket houses an integrated PLC transceiver that instantly identifies and communicates the specific tractor-trailer pairing to any BLE-integrated ELD or trailer telematics device, ensuring that the right tractor is pulling the right trailer.

When paired with Phillips Connect’s Smart Trailer systems, T/T Pair delivers critical trailer health warnings including door status, tire pressure and temperature to the driver so they can remove the trailer from the road and start proactive maintenance protocol.

The T/T Pair will roll out to Phillips Connect fleet customers first, but it is designed to work with any BLE-equipped trailer telematics or ELD device.
