Thermo King’s environment-friendly, cryogenic-powered SB-III CR temperature control system uses carbon dioxide for heating and cooling, thus eliminating ozone-depleting emissions of commercial refrigerants. The system has 98 percent fewer moving parts, reducing operation noise levels, the company reports.
The SB-III CR system is a one-piece, front-mounted, cryogen-powered cooling and heating unit designed for jumbo trailers. The system features Thermo King’s patented vapor motor and a propane-fired heater that uses carbon dioxide for heating and defrosting.
The SB-III CR system will soon be available in Europe and will be available in the United States later this year.
