Peterbilt’s new front axle available for heavy-duty conventional models reduces overall truck height and increases the amount of weight that can be loaded in the over-the-cab position.
The optional Dana Spicer E1320W is rated at 13,200 pounds providing an additional 1,200 pounds of front-axle payload over previous axles available for car hauling and other low-frame-height applications. Vehicles spec’ed with this axle will exceed a 96-inch width, which may restrict travel on some local and state highways.
The E132 also improves turning radius through a 71-inch kingpin intersection. It is available for Peterbilt models 379, 378, 385 and 357.
