To sign up for the service, visit http://dms.dot.gov and select “List Serve.” After the system verifies the correct e-mail address, a user may select an “agent” – an automatic document hunter.
DAC Services (www.dacservices.com) has added MVRs from Pennsylvania and Illinois to its MVR Express service, allowing employers and insurers immediate access to driving records in those states. MVR Express service is now available for 34 states. In states where MVRs are not available through MVR Express, turnaround ranges from two to 24 hours.
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration fined Advanced Moving Systems of Plantation, Fla., $98,000 for violations of the Federal Motor Carrier Commercial Regulations. The civil penalty assessment against Advanced, a for-hire motor carrier hauling primarily household goods, followed an investigation conducted because of consumer complaints received by the agency.
