Financial strategies for fleets

Raising the financial awareness and skills of fleet managers will be the focus of efleetmgmt, Inc.’s 2003 Financial Strategies for Today’s Fleet Operations seminar, slated for April 2-4 in Nashville, Tenn. efleetmgmt is an Internet-based education and professional development resource for corporate fleet and transportation professionals.

Workshops will provide hands-on information on the role finance plays in achieving success, efleetmgmt says. Speakers will discuss effective ways to measure and improve financial performance and to communicate that performance to senior management.

Workshop topics include:

  • Strategies for minimizing fleet costs and maximizing revenue;
  • Implementing benchmarking results to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operating costs;
  • Using technology to measure and improve financial performance;
  • Budgeting and supply chain management techniques.

Speakers include Tony Vercillo, president and CEO of International Fleet Management Consultants; Joe B. Hanna, Ph.D., associate professor of logistics at Auburn University; and R. Patrick White, CTP, former traffic and transportation manager of Coca Cola USA and a principal at WhiteTrans Solutions, Inc.
