Duluth, Ga.-based LTL carrier Saia has announced additional reductions in transit times from key points in the Midwest.

The changes will mean that Saia customers will receive a one-day improvement in delivery times on freight moving from points served by facilities in Oklahoma City and Lincoln, Neb., to terminals across the Midwest.

Improved transit times will affect shipments originating in or destined to points served by terminals in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin. The improved times were brought about by the ongoing development of operational efficiencies throughout the carrier’s 30-state system, Saia representatives said.

“As Saia aggressively focuses on reduction of transit time, customers can expect to see continued enhancements to our overall service offerings across the country,” said Rick O’Dell, Saia’s president and CEO.
