Mack Trucks is taking the opportunity of this year’s Great American Trucking Show — Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 25-27 at the Dallas Convention Center — to announce that it is adding daycab and 70-inch midrise versions of its new Rawhide edition.

The company introduced its Rawhide edition earlier this year in a 60-inch midrise configuration. Company officials anticipate accepting orders for the daycab and 70-inch midrise versions as soon as mid-September.

“The response to the Rawhide edition has been tremendous,” said Tom Davis, Mack highway products marketing manager. “We are committed to growing our highway business, and expanding the available offerings will allow even more customers to include this vehicle in their purchasing plans.”

The Rawhide edition is a premium version of the Mack CH model aimed at local and regional haulers looking to turn heads while increasing profits. The Rawhide edition features the new Mack Advantage highway chassis, which the company says offers an array of customer benefits, including a wide range of application-specific frame rail options, up to 50-degree wheel cuts, and exceptional ride and handling.

And Mack says the Rawhide edition clearly stands apart from the crowd, with nearly every exterior component in chrome or stainless steel. Inside, the vehicle’s ergonomic styling, full array of gauges and soundproofing combine to create an environment likely to spoil drivers. A wood grain dash, and a wood grain and chrome steering wheel, along with a classic “button-tuck” interior, enhance the blend of style and comfort.

Helping to promote the vehicle at this year’s GATS will be “Master of the Bullwhip” Beau Schwade, who will be in the Mack booth (No. 18078) performing his unique routine of wild west tricks on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 25 and 26. Estimated showtimes on Thursday are at 2 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 5 p.m.; and on Friday at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
