More than 40 of Coastal Transport’s drivers recently volunteered to take the Highway Watch training program, which is offered to all professional drivers on a volunteer basis.

The program, which is under the umbrella of the Homeland Security Department, consists of a certified trainer teaching drivers how to be more aware of potential terrorist threats. Each Coastal Transport driver was recognized with a certificate and wallet card from Edwards Crowell, president of the Georgia Motor Trucking Association.

Coastal Transport, part of Comcar Industries, is based in Savannah, Ga.
