At the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, ALK Technologies announced its latest mobility solution for the corporate enterprise and mobile professional markets – CoPilot Live 6 GPS Navigation for the Palm Treo 700w from Verizon Wireless running on Windows Mobile 5.0.

A Palm Treo 700w smartphone equipped with CoPilot Live 6 is designed to provide drivers with powerful, portable GPS navigation, complete with turn-by-turn voice guidance, comprehensive address entry choice, ZIP code and point-of-interest search, detailed street maps and a finger-touch user interface with larger, user-friendly buttons.

“The Palm Treo 700w smartphone is an ideal device to showcase ALK’s CoPilot Live mobility solution for corporate enterprises,” says Mark Bercow, senior vice president of business development at Palm Inc. “This is a classic example of bringing together best-of-breed hardware, software and partners to deliver high value to a targeted market opportunity in a very timely fashion.”

According to ALK, CoPilot Live 6’s industry-leading route calculation speeds enable even complex trips across the country to be worked out in seconds, and when combined with ALK’s CoPilot Software Development Kit, CoPilot GPS route guidance and navigation can be integrated seamlessly with dispatch and mobile work force management mobility solutions, eliminating the need to enter addresses manually.

“The Palm Treo 700w smartphone is a fantastic device, and we’re convinced it will be a big mover in the corporate enterprise space, especially when bundled with CoPilot Live GPS Navigation,” says Dan Titus, vice president of ALK Technologies. “A CoPilot Live and Treo 700w bundled solution is a perfect way to address needs for mobility, performance, productivity, ease of use and efficiency.”
