AmeriQuest has announced the promotion of Bill McCouch to vice president of business development, MRO Services. He will lead the private fleet division and assume the duty of field sales supervision, supporting the leasing and common carrier divisions.

McCouch is involved in AmeriQuest’s FleetXchange program, which has experienced more than 300 percent growth over the last three years. FleetXchange gives fleet managers access to leveraged buying power: Its electronic business platform is designed to enable users to streamline their transportation and logistics operations and reduce administrative costs.

McCouch formerly served as director of procurement services for AmeriQuest, heading the private fleet division. Before joining AmeriQuest, McCouch — who has 24 years of experience in the truck transportation industry — spent 18 years at Ryder System, where his responsibilities included field operations, sales management, logistics and warehousing operations. He then moved on to purchasing, where he developed and deployed strategic sourcing programs and initiatives.

“Bill has been a valuable member of the AmeriQuest team, and I have every confidence that he will continue to actively grow our business in his new role,” says Doug Clark, president and chief executive officer of Cherry Hill, N.J.-based AmeriQuest.
