On Thursday, Jan. 19, crews will begin drilling and collecting data for a replacement design on U.S. 97 at milepost 78, just north of Madras, Ore. One lane of U.S. 97 will be closed intermittently from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19; Friday, Jan. 20; and Monday-Wednesday, Jan. 23-25.
The lane will be restricted to loads 14 feet wide or less; mobile homes with eaves will be allowed. Loads larger than 14 feet will need to contact the Oregon Department of Transportation at 503-373-0000 for routing and permit information.
