Cookeville, Tenn.-based Averitt Express has signed an agreement with Power2Ship to use the P2S MobileMarket for its central repository of transportation information within the Averitt Express network. This agreement will enable the future availability of Averitt Express assets to be displayed to each of Averitt’s operational units, so they can maximize the utilization of their transportation assets.

Power2Ship will host and manage the on-demand, Web-based application that will provide Averitt with complete visibility of all available corporate assets within a single Web-based dynamic display. This real-time application will span four Averitt operational units (truckload, LTL, time-critical and dedicated) and extend to Power2Ship’s existing customers with Averitt asset availability, as well as allowing Averitt to view available carrier capacity from Power2Ship’s existing network of transportation providers. Power2Ship also has created a branded load board that will afford Averitt Express’ core partners visibility of unused assets while offering additional overflow capacity through members of the P2S MobileMarket.

“Averitt Express is one of the most reputable transportation companies in the U.S.,” says Michael Darden, president of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Power2Ship. “We’re pleased with Averitt Express’ selection of the P2S MobileMarket solution to aid Averitt in the asset utilization across their four operational units and through the P2S MobileMarket customers. We are looking forward to a long, fruitful relationship with Averitt Express.”
