Atlanta-based Discrete Wireless, a provider of GPS fleet management systems, has announced that future models of its Marcus GPRS devices will include Siemens AG GPRS/EDGE modem modules and enable GSM/GPRS service through Cingular Wireless.
“We evaluated many modem solutions, and we are confident that Siemens will suit our technical and provisioning requirements,” says John Darienzo, chief technology officer at Discrete Wireless. “Cingular Wireless is a critical partner for their vast network footprint and more-than-suitable bandwidth. This partnership adds value to our overall solution strategy.”
