Con-Way Transportation Services, a subsidiary of CNF Inc., has announced the promotion of Dana C. Boles to director of linehaul for Con-Way Southern Express. Boles will be based at the company’s general office in Fort Worth, Texas.

Boles joined the less-than-truckload carrier in 1990 as a dockworker in Knoxville, Tenn. That same year he was promoted to a driver sales representative and in 1994 was promoted to freight operations supervisor. In 1997, Boles was promoted to freight operations manager at CSE’s Nashville, Tenn. service location. He was promoted to service center manager of CSE’s Rome, Ga. facility in 1999. Two years later, he was promoted to service center manager for the company’s Birmingham, Ala. freight assembly center, his most recent position.

“The CSE linehaul operation is very time-sensitive and complex, with nightly variables of weather, equipment and personnel allocations designed to meet our strict service standards,” says Phil Worthington, CSE president. “Dana’s experience and knowledge has truly come from the ground up and highly qualifies him for this new position.”
