WSE Transportation has announced its 2005 Drivers of the Year. James Loveland of Mobile, Ala. was named Company Driver of the Year, and Jimmie Gilyard of Muskogee, Okla. was named Owner/Operator Driver of the Year.

Loveland, who has been with WSE since 1998, has accumulated more than 906,000 safe driving miles and never has been late for a single pickup or delivery. “Jim’s professional attitude, along with his willingness to help out — no matter what the situation may be — makes him a great asset to WSE,” says Howell Skelton, Loveland’s fleet manager.

Gilyard, who has spent 35 years with WSE, recently received recognition for reaching three million safe driving miles. “The best of the best is what comes to mind when I think about Jimmie,” says Susan Hamann, Gilyard’s fleet manager. “He is dedicated, reliable and professional, and one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to work with.”

In honor of their achievement, both Loveland and Gilyard were awarded a plaque engraved with their names. Their names also will appear on a plaque honoring all previous Drivers of the Year at WSE.
