Earl R. Martin Inc., a trucking company based in East Earl, Pa., recently recognized driver Kenneth E. Koser for reaching four million accident-free miles. Koser, of Ephrata, Pa., has more than 33 years of safe driving with the company and was required to meet stringent performance requirements to qualify for the award, according to Earl R. Martin.

At a recent awards banquet, Pennsylvania State Rep. Gordon Denlinger presented the award to Koser, who logged his miles with the dump division of the company, transporting primarily agriculture-related feed ingredients throughout the eastern United States and Canada. Earl R. Martin, a family-owned and -operated company, also operates tanker, dry van and reefer divisions, a truck repair shop, Martin’s Trailside Express truck stop and Martin Brokerage.

Koser previously has been honored at both state and national levels for his outstanding safe driving record, the company says. In 2003, he was selected as National Driver of the Year by the National Association of Small Trucking Companies; and in 2004, he was chosen as Driver of the Month by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association.
