Three of Con-Way Transportation Services’ less-than-truckload freight companies and six employees from those companies recently were honored for their safety records and practices at the South Carolina Trucking Association’s safety awards banquet for 2005.
SCTA awarded Con-Way Southern Express first place in the General Commodities, local 2 million to 5 million miles driven, category. The company also was named overall winner for most improved safety record for 2005.
Citing an already strong safety record, company officials said the award confirmed the positive growth of their safety program during 2005. Three CSE driver sales representatives also were honored.
