Rigmaster Power Corp. has announced that production of its auxiliary power units is under way at the company’s new facility in Olathe, Kan. The facility, which opened April 1, will operate in addition to the company’s original manufacturing facility in Toronto, increasing the amount of Rigmaster Power APUs produced each year.

“The demand for a quality standalone APU like the Rigmaster is huge, and the opening of this facility has been our number-one priority for some time,” says Gary Lisson, Rigmaster Power general manager. “The decision to open a U.S. facility was easy. Many of our customers are U.S.-based, and we are pleased to offer them a U.S.-built product.”

The Olathe facility will be producing the company’s standard Rigmaster Power APU that is powered by a Perkins 14HP diesel engine, as well as building all units ordered with a Caterpillar engine option. Rigmaster Power’s North American parts distribution also will be housed out of this facility.

Rigmaster Power distributes APUs in North America through a network of 150 independent sales and service locations.
