Decker Truck Line has named Dwight Elm as its March 2006 Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division. Elm, who has been with Decker since December 2003, lives in Coon Rapids, Iowa, with his wife, Anna.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the flatbed division was Joe Lax, who resides in Orion, Ill. Lax, a driver trainer for Decker, has been with the company since April 2005.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatchers and are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll/billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a driver of the month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
Decker is based in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
