Thomson Delmar Learning has launched its Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Diesel Engines Computer Based Training (CBT) Course, a computer-based course that the company says utilizes an interactive, self-paced learning approach to cover the theory, operation and knowledge assessment components required for new and existing truck technicians seeking to increase their knowledge about diesel engines.

The latest technologies are interwoven into 12 content areas, each designed to systematically provide the theory, diagnosis, service and repair of medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines. An interactive, self-paced learning approach allows users to tailor their progression throughout the course to individual needs, according to Thomson Delmar Learning.

“This training product is the perfect solution for individuals seeking to increase their knowledge and understanding of diesel engines,” says Kristen Davis, product development manager for the technology professional business unit of Thomson Delmar Learning. “As a self-paced course, this CBT integrates the latest in training technologies to ensure the learner is kept interested while they progress through the course material. The course also includes end-of-section and an end-of-course assessment, and if the user demonstrates an acceptable level of understanding of the content, a certificate of completion will be automatically printed.”
