Donaldson has announced several new applications for its FKB family of high-efficiency air cleaners for small- to medium-duty diesel engine trucks. The company currently carries three sizes of the product – its FKB04, FKB05 and FKB06 – and will introduce a fourth, the FKB08, in May.
The air cleaners are designed to provide a space- and cost-saving option for diesel-engine manufacturers in the agriculture, construction, mining and industrial-engine markets. The product line is light, efficient and easy to install and replace, according to Donaldson, and they effectively reduce contaminants flowing into the air intake system, providing a high level of engine protection from harmful contaminants and increasing engine performance and fuel efficiency. The products’ two-stage design features a built-in pre-cleaner to separate up to 85 percent of airborne contaminants.
