A Texas trucker was chosen as the grand prize winner of Volvo’s “Discover the Treasure” sweepstakes, winning $10,000 and a trip for two to the Bahamas and beating out nearly 19,000 other commercial drivers who entered the contest.
Chuck Harter was chosen after receiving a new VT880 with a 625-hp Volvo D16 engine from his boss. Harter has been a professional driver for 35 years and has been a company driver for R. Turner Trucking in Brownsville, Texas, for the past 18 years. Before that, he was an owner-operator for the same company.
