Getloaded.com is raising money to help the Special Olympics send a delegation of 33 athletes and 15 coaches to Ames, Iowa, to compete in the organization’s first National Games. The games will be held on July 2-7, 2006, at Iowa State University.
Teams will compete in swimming, track and field, basketball, gymnastics, power lifting, bowling, tennis and golf. They also will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies.
Through July 1, Getloaded.com will feature an online fund-raising page on its website at www.getloaded.com. There is no minimum dollar amount to contribute, and all money raised goes directly to support the athletes and coaches of the Special Olympics.
