The Internet Truckstop now offers CreditStop Plus to its 6,000 current CreditStop subscribers. CreditStop Plus provides credit scores and days-to-pay information on more than two million shippers, and also augments current information on brokers found on CreditStop.

“We are excited about this addition of shipper credit information to our already robust database of broker information,” says Scott Moscrip, Internet Truckstop president. “With the amount of real-time credit information at our customer’s fingertips and the amount of total subscribers to our service, we now can truly claim a leadership position in providing critical credit information to the transportation industry.”

The Internet Truckstop has teamed up with eCredit, a provider of online solutions for credit and collections professionals, to offer CreditStop Plus. The Internet Truckstop will augment its own CreditStop reports through integration with eCredit’s credit information database. This new service will display the eCredit days beyond terms score, as well as the overall risk assessment score for shippers.

According to Internet Truckstop, the integration of eCredit’s credit reports will provide the Internet TruckStop’s customers with valuable information that is specific to the trucking industry: Carriers will be able to increase the level of confidence in the shippers from whom they accept business, and CreditStop Plus customers will be able to purchase eCredit’s Trade Experience Reports directly through the Internet TruckStop’s website, www.truckstop.com. These reports are intended to help carriers take the guesswork out of working with shippers by providing a summary of millions of trade records.

“We are very enthusiastic about the many benefits that this arrangement with eCredit will bring to our customer base,” says Sonny Smith, credit services director for the Internet Truckstop. “First, integrating eCredit’s market-leading credit information into our own reports will greatly reduce the amount of risk our customers assume when they enter into an agreement with a shipper. Most importantly, by offering eCredit’s Trade Experience Reports, the Internet Truckstop will extend the level of value and convenience we deliver to our customers.”
