After dropping by small increments in the past few weeks, diesel prices are increasing again, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. For the week ending Monday, June 5, the average price of a gallon of diesel was $2.890, rising eight-tenths of a cent from the previous week.

The Midwest showed the biggest gain, with the average price going from $2.824 to $2.837. Although the Rocky Mountains and the West Coast still had the highest prices at $3.043 and $3.159, respectively, both regions experienced a slight drop, while the cost of a gallon grew in all other regions of the country.
