Melton Truck Lines driver Sammy Belvin took first place in the flatbed division at the Oklahoma Truck Driving Championship in Oklahoma City on Saturday, June 3. Belvin will go on to represent Melton and the state of Oklahoma in August at the National Championship in New Orleans.

The air-ride flatbed carrier also recently was the second-place recipient of the American Trucking Associations National Safety Award in the Flatbed/Local Division, Unlimited Mileage Category. The second-place finish qualifies the company to compete this summer for the ATA President’s Trophy, which is the highest safety award given each year through ATA.
