Truck drivers who also have a passion for photography now have a chance to make money with their pastime. TCA’s Truck Driver Photo Contest, sponsored by S-Line and American Graphics Group, is open to any truck driver employed by or leased to a trucking company. Contestants may submit up to three photos that capture life on the road and portray trucking in a positive light.
The grand-prize winner will receive $1,000, the second-place winner will receive $750, and third place will receive $500. Those who place fourth through sixth will receive $100 each, and honorable mentions will receive $50 each.
Applicants should label each photo with their name, address and telephone number; and company name, address and telephone number. This information should be written on a label or a separate piece of paper affixed to the back of the photo. Include related information, such as the subject of the photo or where it was taken.
The contest is open only to amateur photographers. Digital photos will be accepted as long as a printed copy of the photo is included and the digital file is 300 dpi or larger to ensure a high enough resolution. For more information, go to www.truckload.org.
