GeoLogic Solutions, a provider of multi-mode communications and tracking systems, has announced the availability of over-the-air software downloading capabilities. Used for MobileMax software upgrades and enhancements, the ability to perform this task wirelessly using Cingular’s GPRS network means that fleets no longer have to physically “touch” their trucks every time an upgrade is needed.
“In addition to saving our customers the time and money involved with taking a vehicle off the road, this new over-the-air software download capability will give them the assurance of knowing their fleet is always up-to-date with the newest application or latest upgrade,” says John Lewis, president and chief executive officer of Herndon, Va.-based GeoLogic Solutions. “The whole process just became much easier and very convenient.”
