Tim Gilbert has joined Peterson Manufacturing as corporate director of heavy-duty fleet and trailer OEM sales, a newly expanded position at the company. Gilbert — formerly with Reyco Granning, makers of heavy-duty truck and trailer suspensions — brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his job as Grandview, Mo.-based Peterson further sharpens its focus on the traditional heavy-duty market.
Gilbert believes Peterson — a manufacturer of vehicle safety lighting, mirrors, reflectors, antennas and related products — is strongly positioned to compete for business. “Our position in the heavy-duty aftermarket has always been strong,” Gilbert says. “Now, with our rapidly expanding production facilities and some exciting new lighting and wiring technology, Peterson can offer OEMs and fleets the total package — a single, integrated safety lighting solution.”
Gilbert directs a sales effort targeting major OEMs and fleets — primarily tanker, van, bus and motorhome accounts. “Our Peterson lights and Maxi-Seal harnesses are unbeatable,” says Gilbert. “And our exclusive SureLock control module is one of the most terrific new products to come along in years. All in all, we’ve got a great story to tell.”
