Hoosier Tradewinds recently was granted 10-year waivers on personal property and real estate property taxes following its April 21 move from Carmel, Ind., to nearby Arcadia, the Noblesville Daily Times reported.

Matt Deck, chief financial officer at Hoosier Tradewinds, told the Hamilton County Council that it was important to maintain local roots for the privately-owned company since there are so many close ties with people who work at the facility, according to the Daily Times. “There’s a loyalty here,” Deck said. “A lot of us live in the county, have grown up in the county and there’s a fondness here that we’ll always have.”

Deck told the council it was time for the company to leave the office that had served as its headquarters since 1997, according to the Daily Times. “We had outgrown our current facility that we were leasing in Carmel,” Deck said. “We really wanted our own facility that we could grow and expand into, and we still wanted to stay in Hamilton County.” Deck said there are about 25 employees at the new office, and there is more room on the 5-acre site for future expansion, the Daily Times reported.
