Saia has announced operations in Jackson, Tenn., have moved to a new terminal location because of business growth in the West Tennessee market. The terminal opening gives the less-than-truckload carrier extended service opportunities in its vital southern and central U.S. markets.
The facility sits on 10 acres, versus the former location, which was housed on two acres. The new, more modern facility features an expanded and state-of-the art dock with an additional eight doors and much-needed office space.
“We continue to experience increased business volumes, and this new location will give us the required space to accommodate growth and improve operational efficiencies,” says Tony Albanese, senior vice president of operations and sales for Duluth, Ga.-based Saia.
