Logistics company CaseStack, which services Wal-Mart distribution centers, is offering a rebate of up to $50 for truckers using biodiesel while carrying a CaseStack load. CaseStack handles warehousing and shipping for various clients, but it estimates that 70 percent of the truckers targeted by its Green Rebate Program deliver to Wal-Mart distribution centers.

Wal-Mart repeatedly has vowed to make its entire operation more environmentally friendly. Earlier this month, at Wal-Mart’s invitation, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore presented his movie An Inconvenient Truth, about the perils of global warming, at the company’s Bentonville, Ark., headquarters.

CaseStack’s Green Rebate Program will end Sept. 1. CaseStack will rebate 10 cents per gallon on any blend of biodiesel. For more information, go to www.casestack.com, call (866) 567-6644 or text-message the word “green” to 30364.
